PRIVACY STATEMENT
Through the use of this site, certain information may be collected that is personal in nature. We recognize and respect the need to take care when handling your personal information. However, especially in the world of "genetic privacy")} there are no guarantees. When you register on MyTrueAncestry, we collect your name, an optional alias, and email address to process your registration. The email address can be used to help send reports or reset your password. MyTrueAncestry will only collect your personal information if you provide it to us voluntarily. You consent to the storage, processing, and transfer of your personal information outside your country.
We encrypt your login password before putting it in our database. We cannot tell what your password is. However, there have been cases in the news of encrypted data being hacked and decoded. Be aware that may be a possibility on this or any other Site. We take measures to ensure that only you have access to your results, but those measures have not been and never will be perfect.
Information such as Results data and profile information may be stored as an archive copy as part of a backup or recovery plan. When a registered MyTrueAncestry user deletes or requests deletion of Results data and/or profile information, copies of that information stored in an archive copy will be deleted upon storage of an updated archive copy, no later than 30 days after the user request.
We do log IP addresses, operating systems and browser software. We analyze this data in whole to determine traffic patterns, determine web page design, and in turn, hopefully, build a better website. This data is anonymized and does not contain your name or your email address. We may provide this anonymized log data to third parties such as advertisers, potential licensors or advertisers, and other business associates.
DEFAMATION
The purpose of this site is to help you with analyzing your genetics. This site is not be used as a springboard to launch personal attacks of any kind, nor to denigrate groups of individuals based on ancestry, illnesses, or other traits or conditions.
COOKIE DISCLOSURE STATEMENT
"Cookies" are files transferred back and forth between the server and your browser. Cookies can be used to keep track of the number of times you've visited a specific web page and more. We do not log cookies.

TERMS OF USE
When you upload Raw Data to MyTrueAncestry, you agree that the Raw Data is one of the following:
- Your DNA
- DNA of a person for whom you are a legal guardian
- DNA of a person who has granted you specific authorization to upload their DNA to MyTrueAncestry
- DNA of a person known by you to be deceased
In short, You may not post content unless you are the owner of the Rights or have the permission of the owner to post such content.
You may not upload or transmit any unlawful content.
You may not create user accounts under false or fraudulent pretenses.
You may not impersonate another person or entity.
You may not use this site for any illegal purpose.
You understand that future genealogical and non-genealogical uses may be developed, including uses that MyTrueAncestry cannot predict or foresee. If you find any of these current or future uses unacceptable, do not provide Raw Data to MyTrueAncestry, and remove any of your Raw Data already provided to this Site.
MyTrueAncestry is not responsible for removing or editing any posted information. We make no guarantees or warranties as to the length of time posted information will remain online. We reserve the right to delete or modify any data, at any time, and for any reason. We reserve the right to limit any users' access to any feature. We reserve the right to ban any user, and/or delete any user account at any time, for any reason. Bans are not subject to review, approval, protest, or appeal.
Persons who post on behalf of, or act as proxies for, banned users will also be subject to banning.
You agree to keep your password confidential.

REFUNDS
We only provide refunds in the event the account has not been able to process any data for technical reasons. New accounts are provided free of charge to enable users to test their data before they choose to buy.
SUBSCRIPTIONS
The customer has the option to purchase a monthly subscription for storing their raw data on our servers if they opt to do so. If the customer has entered their credit card details, the customer will be charged for a subscription from this time. The customer undertakes to pay the operator the fee agreed in accordance with their subscription.
DURATION OF TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
The contractual relationship begins with the registration by the customer. Monthly subscriptions are concluded for an indefinite period of time and can be terminated by either party before the next monthly settlement. As soon as a subscription is terminated the service ends. Any data stored is removed immediately and new data uploaded is no longer stored on the servers.
BILLING CURRENCY
All billing and pricing is in US Dollars (USD).
LOSS OF DATA
MyTrueAncestry operators will not be held responsible for the loss of Raw Data, whether as a result of mechanical failure, software malfunction, human error, or any other means.
